Digital health is an increasingly expanding field which spans everything from telemedicine to big-data and AI (Artificial Intelligence). Although difficult to define, one certain aspect of digital health is the requirements for training both clinical specialists and technologists in the multi-disciplinary field of healthcare technology to meet up with the increasing market demand. In a landscape focused on specialism, how do you encourage clinicians to code? How do you ensure engineers and designers understand the importance of responsible, ethical, and sustainable innovation? This talk will focus on case studies relating to digital health training and engagement exploring the challenges and opportunities raised when working in the interdisciplinary space, and how co-design with stakeholders can drive novel approaches for problem solving and innovation.
